The Lakefield Historical Society

We collect, preserve, exhibit, and publish materials for the study of history, especially the history of the Village of Lakefield. This collection is in trust for the community.

We enlist community help in preserving and recording our history and seek acceptance, support, and promotion from residents and the community.

We are proud to say that we have unveiled the monument in honour of 233 men and women from Lakefield who served in WW2.

Thank you for your donations and interest in the monument, and to our project partners, the Lakefield Legion Branch 77.

Please see also the Lakefield War Vets website, a project of the Lakefield Historical Society to honour war vets.

REGULAR MEETINGS

The Society holds six evening meetings a year with guest speakers, exploring many aspects of the village's history.

 lakefieldhistorical@gmail.com

We hope to see you there!

And yes! meetings are wheelchair-accessible; there is an elevator on the west side of the Legion building.
