Times are evolving and our role in the community is changing as well. We have seen recent ambivalence in our elected politicians with respect to protecting our heritage, and our need to reach out to new generations of history buffs and residents of the Lakefield area has been especially challenging during the global pandemic. The emergence of social media and competing priorities means that across the generations we need to find new ways to keep in the hearts and minds of the future residents of this area. I feels strongly that this is our primary focus, but we as an Historical Society need your help to recognize and develop strategies for accomplishing this goal.
